# Check GS1 references

> GET /qr/{qrid}/gs1-references/

Reports whether a landing QR Code is used as the **resolution target** of one or more GS1 QR Codes.

```
GET    https://api.scanova.io/qr/{qrid}/gs1-references/
Authorization: 401f7ac837da42b97f613d789819ff93537bee6a
```

<ParamField path="qrid" type="string" required>
  The `qrid` of the non-GS1 QR Code to check.
</ParamField>

<RequestExample>
  ```bash cURL theme={null}
  curl "https://api.scanova.io/qr/Qa1b2c3d4e5f6g7h8/gs1-references/" \
    -H "Authorization: 401f7ac837da42b97f613d789819ff93537bee6a"
  ```
</RequestExample>

<ResponseExample>
  ```json 200 OK theme={null}
  {
    "is_gs1_referenced": true,
    "gs1_codes": [
      { "name": "Cocoa 500g — GTIN 01234567890128", "qrid": "Qz9y8x7w6v5u4t3s" }
    ]
  }
  ```
</ResponseExample>

<Note>
  Call this before deleting. Every delete path in this module — [single](/api-reference/management-api/qr/delete), [bulk](/api-reference/management-api/qr/multi-delete), and [permanent](/api-reference/management-api/qr/trash-delete) — refuses with `400` when a QR Code is GS1-referenced, and never cascades the deletion. This endpoint tells you exactly which GS1 QR Codes to repoint first.
