# Share a QR Code by email

> POST /qr/{qrid}/share/email/

Emails a business-card QR Code to one recipient, with wallet-pass links attached.

```
POST   https://api.scanova.io/qr/{qrid}/share/email/
Authorization: 401f7ac837da42b97f613d789819ff93537bee6a
```

<ParamField path="qrid" type="string" required>
  The `qrid` of a QR Code in the `businessCard` category.
</ParamField>

<ParamField body="email" type="string" required>
  The recipient's email address.
</ParamField>

<RequestExample>
  ```bash cURL theme={null}
  curl -X POST "https://api.scanova.io/qr/Qa1b2c3d4e5f6g7h8/share/email/" \
    -H "Authorization: 401f7ac837da42b97f613d789819ff93537bee6a" \
    -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
    -d '{
        "email": "recipient@example.com"
    }'
  ```
</RequestExample>

<ResponseExample>
  ```json 200 OK theme={null}
  {
    "message": "QR code shared successfully."
  }
  ```
</ResponseExample>

<Warning>
  This endpoint supports the **`businessCard` category only**. Every other category returns `400` — there is no generic "email me this QR Code" operation.
</Warning>

The server renders a PNG of the QR Code itself and attaches Apple Wallet and Google Wallet links to the message, so the recipient can save the card to their phone.
