# List / create funnels

> GET, POST /web-tracking/sites/{site_id}/funnels/

A **funnel** defines an ordered sequence of events (e.g. scan → page view → purchase) that Conversion Tracking reports evaluate visitors against.

<Note>
  Requires the account's `CONVERSION_TRACKING` quota.
</Note>

<ParamField path="site_id" type="integer" required>
  Tracking site ID.
</ParamField>

<ParamField body="name" type="string" required>
  Funnel display name.
</ParamField>

<ParamField body="domains" type="array">
  Domains this funnel applies to (a subset of, or matching, the site's own [registered domains](/api-reference/management-api/web-tracking/domains-list-create)).
</ParamField>

<ParamField body="definition" type="array" required>
  Ordered list of funnel steps, each an object with at least an `event_type`.

  <Warning>
    `event_type: "scan"` may only appear as the **first** step — any later step using it returns `400` with `{"definition": ["Scan can only be used as the first funnel step."]}`.
  </Warning>
</ParamField>

<RequestExample>
  ```bash cURL theme={null}
  curl --request POST \
    --url 'https://api.scanova.io/web-tracking/sites/7/funnels/' \
    --header 'Authorization: YOUR_API_KEY' \
    --header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
    --data '{
      "name": "Poster to purchase",
      "domains": ["example.com"],
      "definition": [
        {"event_type": "scan"},
        {"event_type": "page_view", "path": "/products"},
        {"event_type": "purchase"}
      ]
    }'
  ```
</RequestExample>

<ResponseExample>
