# Exporting QR Code data

> Export your QR Code list as a spreadsheet, choosing both the columns and the scope, so you can report on your codes or work with them outside Scanova.

## What you can export

From **Analytics**, once you've selected QR Code(s), folder(s), or tag(s) and a date range and clicked **Get Analytics**, two independent export actions appear next to the **Overview** heading:

* **Export Analytics Report** — the dashboard itself (charts, totals, breakdowns), as **PDF**, **PNG**, **JPEG**, **XLS**, or **XLSX**
* **Export Scan Data** — the underlying scan-level rows, as **CSV**, **XLS**, or **XLSX**

<Note>
  This is a different action from **Download**, which saves the QR Code's own image — see [Downloading a QR Code](/qr-codes/manage/download).
</Note>

## Exporting a report or raw data

<Steps>
  <Step title="Select a scope and get analytics">
    In **Analytics**, choose **QR Codes**, **Folders**, **Tags**, **Categories**, or **Users** and a date range, then click **Get Analytics**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick a format from Export Analytics Report or Export Scan Data">
    Click either dropdown and choose a format. **Export Scan Data** offers **CSV**, **XLS**, and **XLSX**:

    </Frame>
  </Step>

  <Step title="The file downloads (or a report gets queued)">
    For a small enough selection, the export downloads directly. For a large selection — for example, every QR Code on the account across a wide date range — a **Generate a report instead** dialog appears: "This selection is too large to display here. You can generate a downloadable report instead — we'll email you when it's ready." Click **Create Report** to queue it.
