Your QR Codes are never deleted when a trial or a paid subscription ends. They stop resolving, and they stay in your account until you subscribe again.

What the free trial includes

The free trial runs for 14 days and lets you create up to 3 Dynamic QR Codes. Static QR Codes are not part of that limit — the trial doesn’t restrict them. The trial is a good way to see how Dynamic QR Codes behave in practice: editing a destination after publishing, and watching scans arrive in Analytics.

What happens when it ends

When your 14 days are up and you haven’t subscribed, your Dynamic QR Codes are deactivated. Three things follow from that:
  • A deactivated QR Code stops resolving, so anyone scanning it no longer reaches your destination
  • The QR Code itself, its design, its destination, and its scan history all stay in your account
  • Nothing is deleted, and you don’t need to recreate anything later
A lapsed paid subscription behaves the same way. If a subscription ends without renewing, that account’s Dynamic QR Codes are deactivated on the same terms — they stop resolving, and everything is retained.
This matters most for codes you have already printed or shipped. A deactivated QR Code is still physically scannable, so the scan happens and then fails to reach anything. If a code is out in the world on packaging, signage, or business cards, plan the renewal before the end date rather than after it.

Bringing your QR Codes back

Subscribe, and your deactivated QR Codes start resolving again at the destinations they already had. There’s no separate reactivation step and nothing to re-enter. See Upgrading your plan for the checkout, and Subscription & billing for your renewal date and auto-renewal setting.
Auto-renewal is what stops a paid subscription lapsing in the first place. You can check or change it from the Renewal Details section of Subscription & billing.
