What duplicating does

Duplicate creates a new QR Code that starts as a copy of an existing one — same category, same content — so you don’t have to re-enter everything to make a variant. It’s available from the overflow (⋮) menu on a QR Code’s detail page (just Duplicate and Move to Trash there), or from the row’s own ⋮ menu in the QR Codes list — a longer menu with Analytics, Duplicate, Move to Folder, Deactivate, and Delete.

Duplicating a QR Code

Open the overflow menu and choose Duplicate

Click the ⋮ menu and select Duplicate. This opens the Duplicate QR Code dialog.

Set a name and number of copies

New name defaults to the original name with (copy) appended. Number of copies defaults to 1, up to a maximum of 10 at once.
The name field has a 100-character limit. Appending (copy) to an already-long name can push it over that limit — the dialog blocks saving with “Ensure this field has no more than 100 characters” until you shorten it.

Choose what to copy

Under Copy options: Copy design (include the custom design and styling) and Copy custom domain (reuse the same custom domain, shown by name) are both on by default. Turn either off to have the duplicate fall back to the default design or Scanova’s default domain instead.

Duplicate

Click Duplicate. You land back on the QR Codes list with a confirmation toast (“Duplicated “<name>"") and the new copy at the top, tagged with a fresh QR ID and its own short URL slug — everything else about it starts identical to the source.

A duplicate is a fully independent QR Code — it doesn’t stay linked to the source. Editing, deleting, or changing settings on one has no effect on the other.
