The Canva integration is a Canva app — not an OAuth connection. It doesn’t sync data back into Scanova; it lets you generate and drop a Scanova QR Code onto a Canva design without leaving Canva.
This is a Design category integration. It has no “Active connection” state and doesn’t count against your integration connection quota — clicking through it in Scanova just opens the app’s marketplace listing.

Prerequisites

  • A Scanova account (any plan — the catalog and setup panel are visible regardless of plan; only the data-sync integrations enforce a connection quota).
  • A Canva account with permission to install apps for the team you design in.

Installing the app

1

Open the integration from Scanova

In the Scanova dashboard, go to Integrations in the left sidebar, click Browse all integrations, then filter to the Design category. Click Setup on the Canva card to open its setup panel.

2

Open the Canva listing

Click Open in marketplace. This opens Canva’s official app listing in a new tab: canva.com/apps/AAGuh5mzhTo/scanova-qr-codes.

3

Install the app in Canva

From the Canva listing, click Use in a design (or Install app, depending on where you land). Canva adds “Scanova QR Codes” to your apps.
4

Sign in and generate a QR Code

Open the app panel from inside any Canva design and sign in with your Scanova account. From there you can create a new QR Code or pick an existing one and place it on the canvas — no switching tabs.

What it’s for

Use this when your workflow already lives in Canva — social posts, flyers, packaging mockups — and you want a live Scanova QR Code as part of the layout instead of pasting in a static image. It’s a design-time convenience, not a way to view scan analytics; for that, open the QR Code in Scanova directly.
Scanova also publishes a Canva setup walkthrough in the Help Center, linked from the Docs tag on the Canva card in the catalog.
  • Adobe — the same design-time convenience, as a plugin suite for Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
  • Google Docs — the same design-time convenience, as an add-on for Docs, Slides, and Sheets.
  • Microsoft Office — the same design-time convenience, as an add-in for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
